New frontiers of the experimentation in Europe: the CERISI laboratory of the University of Messina


The grand opening of the CERISI laboratory in Messina, Italy is scheduled for December 22, 2015.

Funded by the EU with 22.1 million euro, the Centre of Excellence for Research and Innovation on large dimensions Structures and Infrastructures (CERISI) of the University of Messina is devoted to experimental investigation and testing in the framework of structural, geotechnical and mechanical engineering. The interest has been focused on applications concerning Earthquake Engineering with the realization of the EUROLAB laboratory, which includes some high-performance test facilities for the qualification of devices and structural components used in the construction of large structures and infrastructures. Contact person: Giuseppe Ricciardi -
